About Us

Tyler's was founded in 1984 by Larry and the late Geri Tyler.

Their vision was to provide the best tasting and freshest ice cream available, anywhere. That vision is still the keystone to Tyler's operation today. Rob and Laura Alderson have taken the Tyler's vision and love of the business to heart. They enjoy the family devotion and community spirit of the our area. Today, Larry is a welcomed advisor to the Tyler's family-owned operation.

In 2017 The Alderson family partnered with the owners of the Lazy Lobster  to open a second location right next door to the landmark restaurant in the Centre Shops on Longboat Key.
